FishingDerbyOnline.com™ Brings Fish to the Net
Affordable Software Tool Simplifies Fishing Derby Management and Delivers Real Time Leader Board Results with Bragging Rights for Everyone
Victoria - April 22, 2008 Tactics Design Corporation CEO Darcy Lane announced immediate availability of FishingDerbyOnline.com™ web-based software, enabling derby officials to post leader boards and photographic catch results online in real time. Lane added that the software is offered as an online service to simplify operations and reduce up-front overhead for all types of fishing events, which typically operate using volunteer resources. He went on to say that the beta version of the system was piloted with the Juan de Fuca Salmon Derby on Vancouver Island, BC.
“Everything worked to perfection,” says George Wetherell, President of the Juan de Fuca Salmon Derby, “and the anglers who had their pictures taken with their catch thought it was great. I think every derby should use this!“
“Fishing derbies have long struggled with the administrative details of running their events”, says Tactics Design Chief Technical Officer, Cory Webb. “We knew that we could make a simple user interface that could be used by anyone with minimal knowledge of computers.” said Webb. “We even took it a step further and have enabled automated Text Message Alerts, providing anglers with up to the minute notification of leader board changes while they are on the water. The result is less stress for the derby officials, decreased confusion as authentic results are tabulated and shared instantly and most importantly of all, the anglers are happier since they can share their experience with friends and family at home.”
Tactics CEO Lane concludes, “FishingDerbyOnline.com provides an affordable and reliable method to capture and share real time, meaningful data so that anglers can get the most out of the competition.”
