I'm going up to Port Hardy in early March to fish the Quatse and Cluxewe. Any hints ?

I wish I had some info for you but I have never fished either system. Good luck sounds like fun!

Most likely too late. My buddies living up there are already catching kelts. Both are known for their early runs of fish...

That being said, last year both of the rivers got good pushes in March. Maybe this will be another one of those years.

Cluxewe you want to fish on the rise... you want it high and coloured. Quatse is already dark (tannin) so it's the opposite of the clux, you want it low and ''clear.''

Good luck!
