Must be a bunch of guys lake fishing as we all wait for the early salmon!!! Mid Island lakes fishing well include Maple, Green, Spider and Fuller....mostly round tails from the recent stocking...lots of fun anyway...if you haven't tried cast/strip the Guaranteed give it a try...you will be amazed at how well it works. Enjoy the spring...maybe some dry fly action on the Cowichan R...any been out?

Fished Fuller today...not great but not too bad...seemed like most of the fish were last fall or winter plants...talked to one guy who indicated he caught a 3+ pounder!!!! Apparently Westwood Lk is fishing well....

Caught this monster last weekend. Sorry but I'm not going to say where I caught this one at but I thought I'd show him off. Biggest trout I've ever caught.

We were trolling plugs and I was casting a spoon into shore when I got this one. It was quite the fight and I was pretty lucky just to get the fish in but we did. Took a quick pic and got it back in the water. Caught a few others as well but nothing like that beast.

Beauty steelmaster...could easily be an interior trout...Taylor Arm had been fishing well before the weekend...not sure now...OK Lake produced a few small fish...thinking Spider might be ''empty'' soon with all the traffic...Maple likewise. All good...at least people are getting out.

My buddy went to Spider yesterday and landed a 6 lb smally. Not too sure what else they got though.

Hey zodiacboyz. I didn't really understand your quote. Are you implying that my fish is an interior trout, or, it looks as big as an interior trout?

Hey....just back from some late Steelhead fishing in Forks WA...clearly a bit late but the rivers are spectacular...beautiful for swinging a fly.

Here's a great story...two years ago I did the ''how did that happen'' thing in Green Lake...was attending to one fly rod and BAM...overboard goes another...Redington CPX and Orvix Battenkill...gone...but the outfit did leave my realm with a fish attached....

Anyway...while I was away...a fishing buddy was down at Green and was talking with a young guy about fish and the size in Green Lake etc...LO-AND-BEHOLD he tells him he has hooked a 9 footer...RIGHT...my rod and reel...or at least it was my rod and reel. Actually migrated from one end of the lake to the other...maybe the fish grew in size dragging this rig around!!!!

JL indicated the guy was ecstatic with the outfit and was really enjoying it...cork was a bit grungy but otherwise all good...cool end to a Brain Ft...

Who knows where you stuff will end up!!!!!!

Anyone fished elk lake lately? I tried from a few spots mostly at the fishing pier but with no luck I thought maybe I'd have some success with the bass moving into shallow water to spawn..I'm pretty new to fishing so any advice or pointers would be really appreciated thanks
