I think I read somewhere around 40,000 are expected however the river is now closed with no sign of rain long term it doesn't look good for a fall fishery even opening at this point.

Haven't heard anything yet, but i am certainly hoping the rains keep coming.
Would be nice to get out on the rivers this fall.

It will be a shame if we can't fish Stamp this year. Some more rain coming this week however the week after looks like sun. It has been a lot cooler so maybe the river temperature is dropping which may help.

Woohoo, looks like it has reopened, 1 chinook under 77cm, and 2 coho, there are some closures so make sure to check the regs.
I believe the closure is from the falls to the bucket, but check the regs, dont take my word for it. Hehecheers

Opened for two Coho and a jack spring. Targeting other species and large chinooks will close it all down. The only area I can see open is from the confluence of Beaver Creek, just below the bucket to the boundary signs about 1 km above Paper Mill dam. Great if you have a boat but not much public access for the regular joe.

We caught a couple of 6 pound coho this past Saturday in the derby around Franklin Narrows. Quite a few coho jumping around in the inlet.

Spent 2 weeks fishing the stamp for coho Sept.12th to sept.24th. I do this every year for the past 12 years.Last 3 years have not been good. Use the get my 2 coho everday but this year a total of 5 in 2 weeks, last couple of years not much better. Are the coho declining? Are they being over fished by lower river/Somass nets.May have to reconsider the Stamp and look for a more productive river if 1 exists.

Kind of concerning from the people that fish this river. Lots of Chinook through so far but coho are almost non existent. Whenever I hear the fish are ''late'' the run never materializes 9 times out of 10. I fished some other spots and had a great time!
