Had a great day yesterday on Sooke river. Landed six fresh run Chum nice and bright silver. Caught them on purple and black egg sucking leech. I tied them on circle hooks for the first time and am amazed at the way they were hooked all in the side of the mouth. I switched to circle hooks as I was fed up with snagging a few the last couple of trips. The bad news is that the last fish I caught broke my switch rod just as I was trying to release him. Good news it's got a lifetime warranty but still a bummer
