Well i was on the cowie Jan 17th and 18th 2009, water lever was fishable allmost everywhere. started at the bible camp and my friend had one on. Then to Stolz Pool when i had one on but nothing landed. Just heard of a few getting caught but no great numbers. Both hits were on a pink worm and a wide range of gear tryed. Still heading out next weekend hope we hook up then.

Heading up to the cowie on sunday the 25th will post update then

Did anyone here hit the river over the weekend? It looked to be quite busy when I drove by sandy pool.

Hope you get into your first steelie this season. The folks that are members here are generally pretty willing to help. Many more just read, dont post. Any ''troll'' activity is not tolerated and dealt with asap so hopefully the site reflects that. Good luck tomorrow, remember to short float your jigs about 1' off bottom!

Well I was chuckin the fly on saturday and fished a number of spots. Bible camp, spring pool area, and near the mouth. Talked to a fella that had let a wild one go. My only action was a nice brown in the upper river...although...I did have one huge grab halfway through the swing..hard to believe it could have been a trout

the river is pretty typical for this time of year...good water conditions and a few fish here and there. I was out sunday and walked the trails picking pocket water away from the guys lined up at the pools. released a wild doe approx 8lbs it ook a gooey bob with white wool.

Went out today and got this nice 35'' steely we pounded it hard today. The water is low right now but the fish are there. It's been slow but it started to pick up this last week, we've released 3 steelhead a nice 6lb cutt-bow and a couple of browns great week. I'll be out tomorrow. Good luck
