We will be at the derby providing real-time leaderboard updates on the web and providing a text message service alert subscribers of the top 3 fish weighed in throughout each day.

Due to the way the derby is run, we will only be recording contending fish that have been weighed in at the official weigh station located at Clutesi Haven Marina. The leaderboard that you will see online will not include results from the other hidden weight weigh stations located further down the inlet and in bamfield / barkley sound.

I'm in

Hope the fishing is better than in the last week.
The commercial guys are out again before the derby so pickings may be sparse like last year.

That sounds pretty grim. I was going to give it a shot tomorrow morning to try and locate some fish and set a game plan for saturday. I worried the game plan might involve buying a lot more fuelsad

Judging by the sounds of Doug's last report, it seems like the fish are making a B-line for the river with the past rain. Lots of fish in the river already! Spotty fishing in the sound, but waves of fish might be on their way up the inlet during the long weekend. Good luck everyone!

Glad you had a good time Seachaser...how did everyone else make out ??? Its definitely a zoo at the ramp! When I fish the derby, I find moorage or stay out in the sound at Darcy's cabin.

I fished the inlet this morning and picked up a 14 and a 27 and lost a tyee (snapped my leader...) right in the harbour.
