Sockeye Sport Fishing Remains Very Good

Up to Monday the seventeenth of July the Sport Sockeye Fishing in the Alberni Inlet continued to be very good with plenty of Sockeye from the Harbor out to the Narrows. The limit for sport fishermen is now set at four. With the warmer weather lingering the fish have been going to deeper water and are anywhere from fifty to seventy feet. The bulk of the Sockeye have currently been schooling up in the Cous Creek to Lone Tree areas. Hootchies in pink and black, blue and pink, mp 15 (bubblegum) and black hooks tied in a tandem or single black hooks have all been working very well for most anglers. We are hoping that the Sockeye Sport Fishing will continue to the end of July. For more information and to organize your 2017 Alberni Inlet Sockeye trip and Chinook trip call Doug at 250 731 7389.
