Not Targeted: Chum Salmon, Sockeye Salmon
The last few weeks Chinook fishing has dropped to only a few hit per trip. But the last few days have been very productive with very large salmon hitting the line and running, putting up great fights. We have had a few leader snap and even a #3 hook straightened. Our clients have managed to boat some nice mid to high 20s. Fishing out at Entrance Island the Springs are very deep down around 260' on the rigger with an 18# cannon ball Anchovies and 3.5 Pink Sink spoons seem to do the trick. But at Thrasher the are in 120 to 150' and are hitting on Plugs and large Anchovies.

Loads of Coho (mostly wilds or unclipped hatchery. Pinks are showing up in good numbers, if you hit one be prepared to hit a lot of them. They are great fish to reel for kids and 1st timers, it gets them used of the rod and reels. And great for canning.

Get out while the getting is good !
