The Salmon fishing around the Bamfield area continues to be terrific for Chinook and Coho. There are not a lot of anglers out on the water this week but for those that are the world class salmon fishing opportunity has continued. The Bamfield Wall from Nanat Island up the the Bamfield Harbor mouth has had some great fishing. The best opportunity seems to be around Wittlestone and Beale. There has been a good morning and even better afternoon bite at Wittlestone and Beale. The Chinook and Coho have been in good numbers. The Wall from the Harbor down to Poett Nook has provided some great Coho salmon fishing. Those using anchovy seem to be having the best success. The best anchovy teaser heads are the glow army truck, cop car, purple and green haze. A few spoons and hootchies are working. Skinny G spoons and the white AORL12 hootchie have provided some success but have not created the success that those using anchovy have had. A variety of flashers are creating success with the teaser heads but purple and gold hotspot flashers and the purple mirror seem to be very good. The fish have been in shallow water. Fishing from thirty to fifty feet is creating some very good success. The weather continues to be just unbelievable and will continue through Saturday.
